Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data IPProf collects when you register for a live session, why we collect it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

1. Who we are

IPProf provides live intellectual-property training sessions, operated from Bengaluru, India. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, IPProf is the Data Fiduciary that decides how and why your personal data is processed. Registering for a session does not create an online account with us.

2. What we collect

When you register for a session, we collect the details you submit: your name, email address, mobile number, profession, employment status, organisation and city, along with the session you registered for. If you pay by bank transfer, we record the payment reference you send us. We do not collect or store any card, UPI or bank-account credentials on this website.

3. Why we use it, and your consent

We process your data, on the basis of the consent you give when you register, only for these purposes:

  • to process your registration and verify your payment;
  • to send you the Microsoft Teams join link and any session materials;
  • to contact you about the session you registered for.

We do not use your data for unrelated purposes, and we do not sell or rent it. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7); withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

4. Who we share it with

Your data is accessible only to the team administering the sessions, and to the service providers (Data Processors) we rely on to deliver them — for example our email provider and Microsoft Teams — strictly on a need-to-know basis. We may also disclose data where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your registration data only for as long as needed to administer the session and to meet any legal or accounting obligations. When it is no longer required for these purposes, we erase it.

6. How we protect it

We apply reasonable security safeguards to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure or loss. In the event of a personal-data breach, we will act in accordance with our obligations under the DPDP Act.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
  • have your data corrected, completed, updated or erased;
  • withdraw your consent to processing;
  • nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
  • a readily available means of grievance redressal (see section 8).

If your grievance is not resolved, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Grievance redressal

To exercise any of the rights above, or to raise a concern about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer, Madhava Rao, at grievance@ipprof.com. We will respond within the timelines required under the DPDP Act.

9. Children

Our sessions are intended for working professionals and adult learners. We do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
